How to get to The Danish Villa
It doesn’t really matter where you come from the trip to Abay is amazing. The landscape is fantastic and the scenery changes so much when you cross the island.
On your way you will pass lakes, national parks, highlands, waterfalls, paddy fields ect and of course you will experience bad roads and crazy driving.This is all a part of the trip to Arugam Bay.
The Danish Villa is centrally located in the middel of Arugam Bay only 3 km from Pottuvil. By taxi it is 4-5 hours drive from Kandy and 7-8 hours from Colombo.
Taxi request
Most guests come to Arugam Bay by taxi, which makes it easy to make stops whenever you like, the scenery is fantastic and lots of photo stops is essential.
Bus transportation is another option but then you better ask around for the newest update concerning time schedule. It is very cheap but not as comfortable and fast as in a taxi.
